Luisa Mendoza is referred to as an innovative thought leader and disruptor, who has 20+ years of experience in global business development and marketing, with a focus on tourism and sports. Luisa became fascinated with the tourism industry when she joined the Academy of Travel and Tourism in her high school and became the first high school intern at the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention Center, GFLBCC. It was at that moment Mendoza knew that tourism was the career path she wanted to pursue. Mendoza, obtained her Bachelors in Travel and Tourism Management from Florida International University in a record breaking time of under three years.

Bridging the Gap Between Sports & Tourism
Mendoza’s career trajectory would take an incredible trajectory when she was hired as the first Global Director of Tourism Development for BSE Global, where she had an opportunity to bring the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets and Barclays Center to the world. Traveling to different continents and hearing her clients ask for her to offer all USA professional sports was something she paid close attention to. Simultaneously, the U.S. Travel Association invited Mendoza to speak at IPW the largest tourism trade show in the USA and share the economic impact of Sports & Tourism in the U.S. and how she was able to triple the international sales to the Brooklyn Nets in one year. One of the lines that resonated most with the teams was when she said, while the nature of the sports industry is to be competitive, you must remember that in tourism we operate as a family. When one team can capture an international fan we all win, because the next time that fan visits a different city, they will want to experience a game in that city. It was at IPW 2019, that Mendoza made a pledge to the sports industry that they could count on her support for all things tourism, and they took her up on her offer when she said you all now have a Sports & Tourism Sister in Brooklyn who will help pave the way for them to also connect with the tourism industry.
In January 2020, Mendoza took her oath to the Sports & Tourism Industry and was on a mission to bridge the gap between these two phenomenal industries. Mendoza’s dedication, commitment, and perseverance led her to become an entrepreneur and become the first U.S. Hispanic female to create a global tourism, sports and entertainment company when she launched Global Tourism Sports & Entertainment, GTSE.
Three months later when the COVID-19 pandemic stopped the world, Mendoza kept on pushing through and utilized this time strategically to create focus groups and have a clear understanding of the challenges amongst both industries, and how she could use GTSE to bridge gap between sports and tourism. Steve Job’s said it best, you can’t connect the dots looking forward, you can only connect them looking backwards and now Mendoza looks back and realizes it couldn’t have been better timing because oddly enough her sports and tourism partners had time to express their biggest challenges. It was then that Mendoza was more committed to becoming a trusted source, a one-stop-shop for travel partners around the world to buy all sports tickets for NBA, MLB, NFL, NHL, MLS, Tennis, Formula One, NASCAR, and every single sport in the USA.
Official Sports & Tourism Ambassador for U.S Travel Association and IPW
Within two years Mendoza’s trajectory would change once again when the U.S. Travel Association and IPW appointed Global Tourism Sports & Entertainment, GTSE as the official Sports & Tourism Ambassador to IPW, where GTSE’s commitment was to increase the number of teams and leagues attending IPW to create stronger synergies for Sports Teams and the Tourism Industry to work together. Through GTSE’s dedication and commitment, IPW was able to increase the number of Sports Teams and Leagues from six in 2021 to 28 professional sports teams and leagues by 2023.
Looking at the Future
It was evident in 2023 that for Mendoza to bring sports to the world in a scalable manner, the missing link was the API connection that the Online Tour Operators in particularly desperately needed, so they can sell trusted, real live inventory at the click of a button. It was a no brainer when Mendoza and Zuk met to discuss how the most complex challenge limiting the massive expansion of sports ticket sales was a missing API. It was then that both Luisa Mendoza and Jonathan Zuk realized that together they could bring their 40 years combined experience in sports, tourism and technology to create an API solution to the world. Now Mendoza and Zuk are thrilled to offer an API solution that has a proof of concept and will connect the global travel industry and the sports industry together with an API that is being launched in record breaking time through MyTicketPro.

Because of her innovation, Luisa was nominated as an Industry Impactor Honoree of the Microsoft Legacy Project, naming her one of the most influential, groundbreaking Hispanic changemakers of our time. In addition, Luisa has been awarded “Mujer Destacada” - “Distinguished Woman” award, presented by El Diario, at the prestigious Harvard Club of New York, alongside Lourdes Ventura, New York State Supreme Court Justice, and other influential women leaders.
Most recently Luisa was selected amongst 17 powerful Latinas in the United States and Latin America to share her powerful story and be a co-author of the book Extraordinary Latinas Volume II, which is an Amazon best-seller book.
Luisa is also a managing partner at AJL REPS, a representation company committed to connecting the world by representing brands in Latin America, North America, the U.S. Hispanic market, and Spain.
